Visit Murcia in Spring

28 02 2009

When the very mild winter has come to an end, it get’s busier in Murcia. The first people start swimming already in March/April, because the temperatures are above 25 degrees celcius on average.

It’s the time that a lot of fiestas start, to celibrate la Primavera. For me it’s always the best time of year, since you don’t have to turn on the heating in the evening, and you can enjoy the climate even more then in the winter.

The prices for a holiday in Spring are really low, and you can rent a private villa for less than €600!

Take this villa for example:

Villa Mazarron with private pool

Villa Mazarron with private pool

It’s a detached Spanish villa with private pool with a large plot and good privacy. The villa is suited for 6 people. Great opportunity for families! It’s located in Mazarron, less than 15 minutes from the beaches of Puerto de Mazarron.

Rental Market in Spain

16 10 2008

Since the financial crisis recently worsened by the lack of confidence in banks, the consumers seemed to have lost their enthousiasm to travel. The UK was leading this year, with a major drop in British tourists in Spain, and since the crisis went across the channel, the countries in Northern Europe they have kept their money in their pockets too.
It makes sense to worry about the financial future, especially if you don’t know what to expect, so the last thing they’re thinking about is a holiday in Spain.

The fact that the governments have decided to guarantee the cashflow for banks in Europe has been a very good decision, and this will give people their confidence back.
I think this will have a positive inpact on the Rental market in Spain, and we will see this change within 2-3 months. This will be even better, if the currency rates will improve for the British.

Property prices in Spain have fallen to an all time low, so if you’re looking for Property in murcia - Spain, now’s the time to buy!

Yes, this is Spain!

Anyone wondering where the picture above is taken?

Well… it’s Spain! Yes, And there’s a big chance you haven’t been there. This is one of the great beaches in Murcia, Spain.

Murcia and the Costa Calida are located South of the Province Alicante (Costa Blanca) and North of Almeria. It’s one of the smallest provinces, but yet has 255km of great coastline, with a fantastic climate. The temperatures rearly fall below 17 degrees celcius in the winter and can reach 40 degrees in the middle of the summer. The holiday rental season (July/August) can be busy, but mostly with Spanish tourists. You can still find bars and restaurants where you have to speak Spanish, to order something !

In the winter you will find a lot of people hibernating from Northern Europe, when they escape the cold weather. This, together with Almeria are the best locations for the winter, due to the very mild winter climate.

Murcia can be reached by car or plane, but it’s advisable to take the plane, since it’s about 800km from the French border. Most people from Northern Europe need two days to come over here by car, so more or less waste 4 days in total and it also cheaper to fly. Some low fare airlines: Murcia Guide

I can guarantee you that if you try Murcia, you don’t want anything else….
